MFA Thesis Exhibition by Jasmine Beul

“The Alien Landscape,” the Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition by Jasmine Beul, Iowa State University graduate student in the Integrated Visual Arts program, will be on display March 16–26 at the Iowa State University College of Design. Beul, from Lakewood, Colorado, will share a selection of ceramics, mixed media artwork and photography created during her graduate studies at Iowa State. Her colorful body of work “explores ideas of relativity with time, light and scale and our relationship to the unknown.”

About the Artist:

Jasmine Beul received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fine art and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and creative writing from the University of Montana in 2017. She was a post-baccalaureate student at Montana State University before enrolling in the Integrated Visual Arts graduate program at Iowa State.
Her work has been accepted into numerous juried exhibitions and won multiple awards, including the Janet Harris Squires Clay Award in the 2019 “Octagonal All Media Exhibit” at the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames and a purchase award in the 2021 “Art in Isolation” exhibition at the ISU Memorial Union Art Gallery.
She will receive her Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Visual Arts from Iowa State in May.
